...a ridiculous amount on sports clothes.
Next week, I´ll go hiking in Switzerland with my students and I needed some comfy clothes. I never expected me to spend a lot of money on clothes like that, but as soon as I had entered the store, I started piling shirts, shorts and tops over my arm.
Mind you, I´m not a sporty person at all. But I surely felt like one after trying on all of these cute clothes.
At least I´ll be the most stylish teacher hiking through the mountains next week :D

What Mister Postman brought me today...

...perfection.
It´s the Classic Q Huge Hillier Hobo by Marc by Marc Jacobs and I loooove it. The color, the shape, the smell of the leather...I repeat myself: perfection!
I´ve been lusting after a M by MJ bag for ages now and when I saw this one on sale at mytheresa.com, I knew, I was destined to have it.

What the new PINK CD does to me...

Seriously, I could listen to that CD over and over again. It has a little bit of everything and some songs want me to do very strange things.
For example:
Track 3: "Please don´t leave me": makes me pull out my guitar and sing along in a very heartbreakerish way.
BUT: I suck at playing the guitar.
Track 7: "Funhouse": makes me want to wear a big big biiiig tutu and jump around the house, singing "DUDUDUDUDUDUDU...LALALALALALA"
BUT: I don´t have a big tutu (yet) and I think the boyfriend would send me to a mental institution :D
Track 12: "Glitter in the air": This is the best! This song really makes me want to put on a tight sequined dress, dance like a prima ballerina and (guess what) throw around lots of glitter.
BUT: As with the tutu, no tight sequined dress in my closet. I tried one at H&M a few weeks ago, but the sequins were killing me.
I´m not even close to being like a prima ballerina.
And last but not least: Glitter is a pain in the ass. It sticks on your body and is impossible to get off yourself, your clothes, your furniture, etc. So, no throwing around of glitter for me...at least not yet :D
So all I can do, is listen to the CD over and over again, fighting the urge to do all of the things above :D
What´s your favorite CD at the moment?

It's been one week!
And I still haven't bought anything!
(Well except some H&M flipflops, cause my feet were melting away in my Tory Burch Reva flats while I was walking through Luzern...so that gives me 94 euros to spend for the next 3 weeks)
But still.
It's a start.
Tomorrow, we'll take a trip to Zurich...let's see how that works out.

I´m off...
...for a week in Switzerland. Without shopping :(
I hope the boyfriend and Gizmo the dog will manage to keep me away from the shops, otherwise, I´ll start crying like a baby ;) But, it´s a nice opportunity to start improving my self control...something I lack completely.
Yesterday, we went watching the ING marathon in Luxembourg city. It was great, except that our watching spot was in the middle, right in the middle of all the shops. So I was standing there, for 2 whole hours, accross all the beautiful windows of shops like BCBG, Longchamp, Gérard Darrel, Zara, H&M...It was torture! But, I survived and I´m still fine. I hope I will be after next week, too.
So I´ll be back in a week, I hope till then I have made up my mind wether I should post pictures of myself on this blog or not...I´m still not so sure about that ;)
So long you guys! Have a great week...and if you should go shopping, shop for me too :)

The last 3 buys before the big ban
Before I agreed to THE BET, there were of course some additions to my wardrobe...here are the last three...
Two weeks ago, the boyfriend and I were invited to his best friend´s wedding. I was wearing a beautiful cream dress I ordered from Asos, with black EDC plateau pumps. To match the shoes, I wanted to sport a black bag. As I was going through my bag collection, I had to veto everything. All my black bags were either huuuuge or looking too casual.
So I needed (yes, really really needed ;)) a black leather bag....and bought this:
It´s from the Longchamp Vintage Collection and matched the dress and shoes perfectly!
Yay for me! :)
Then, on sunday night, I was checking out modejunkie´s blog and saw this beautiful H&M dress...:
I looooooooooooove ruffles on dresses or skirts. Seriously, the more, the better, I could LIVE in ruffles...So during my free lesson on monday morning, I drove to the nearest H&M, eager to get my hands on this beauty. It was already waiting for me right at the entrance, and, again yay for me, they had it in my size...Now I´m dying to wear it at school, but I think that would be overdressed - overload...still trying to find a way to dress it down a bit...
As I was already in the store, I took my time to browse around a little bit an found something I´ve been looking for for ages...a sequined black vest!
So that was it now for a while, now I have to cherish my new purchases a lot for a while...

I´m on a shopping ban......
....and it sucks big time.
Altough it´s my very first day, I can already feel the pressure building up inside me...gnaaaaah!
So, why am I doing this? Easy question: I made a bet with the boyfriend, as simple as that. Yesterday, after careful consideration, I realized that I´m spending way too much money on clothes, shoes, bags, accessories, you name it. Well, I didn´t of course realize it only just yesterday, for a long time, I had a feeling...you know, when you´re cleaning out the closet and you see that there are many clothes in there with tags still on them? Or when you find some bags you didn´t know you had because you´ve never used them so far? Or when you litterally have a room full of shoes and then stand there pathetically with a new box and don´t know where to put it because all the shelves are full? Or when you check your banc account and see once again, that last month, 80% of you money went to H&M, Zara, Mango, Asos, Shopbop, Mytheresa, _____________ (insert name of shop here)? So the feeling grew, and yesterday I finally blurted it out while watching tv.
Me: I think I´m spending to much money on clothes and stuff.
He: Well, that´s brandnew information.
Me: Don´t mock me, I´m serious.
He: You always are, honey.
Me:I have to something about it, but I´m lacking motivation.
He: We could bet...for a sushi dinner at that restaurant you love?
Me: Ok, I´m in.
You can get me motivated with food at any time, especially when it comes to expensive restaurants and I don´t have to pay :D
So, from today on until next month´s paycheck I´m only allowed to spend 100 euros on clothes, bags or shoes.
Let´s see how it turns out.
Poor me.
